Privacy Policy
Effective 4 August 2026
The short version. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and shows no advertising. There is no form, no sign-up, and no mailing list. Nothing you do here is tracked or profiled, and no information is asked of you at all.
1. Who this covers
This policy applies to drchrismccormick.com, the personal website of Dr. Chris Len McCormick. It does not cover Amazon, Facebook, or any other site you reach by following a link from here. Those services set their own terms and collect their own data.
2. What is collected
One thing only, and you are not asked to provide it:
- Ordinary web server logs. Like every website, the hosting provider records the requests it serves, which includes your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent. These are used to keep the site running and secure.
This is a static website. There is no form, no sign-up box, no mailing list, no account to create, and no comment section. The free excerpt downloads directly as a PDF file, with no email address required.
3. What is not collected
Stated plainly, because most sites cannot say it:
- No cookies are set by this site.
- No analytics of any kind, from Google or anyone else.
- No advertising, no tracking pixels, no social media trackers, no fingerprinting.
- No profile is built about you, and nothing is used to target you elsewhere.
- No email address is requested, stored, or held. There is no mailing list.
4. Fonts, and the one thing loaded from elsewhere
The site's typefaces are served by Google Fonts. Loading them means your browser makes a request to Google, which reveals your IP address and browser user agent to Google in the process. This is the only third party your browser contacts when it loads this page, and it happens for appearance alone. Google's handling of that request is governed by its own privacy policy.
5. Nothing is sold or shared
Beyond the server logs described in section 2, nothing about you is collected, so there is nothing to sell, rent, or trade. No information about you is ever provided to anyone for marketing purposes, and the logs are never used for marketing either. If you choose to write to the address in section 10, your message and email address are used to reply to you and for nothing else.
6. Who else can see it
Two categories of provider, and no others:
- The hosting provider, which processes server logs only in order to serve the site to you.
- AXXEM AI Solutions LLC, which built and maintains the site, and may access it in the course of that work.
None of these are permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
7. How long it is kept
Server logs are kept only as long as the hosting provider retains them in the normal course of operating the service. Correspondence you send by email is kept only as long as needed to deal with it.
8. Your choices and rights
You may ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address in section 10 and it will be handled.
Depending on where you live, you may have specific statutory rights, including under California and other United States state privacy laws, and under the General Data Protection Regulation if you are in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Those rights are honored regardless of where you live. Since this site holds nothing about you beyond server logs, and an IP address in a log is the only item in them that may identify you, most such requests are answered simply by confirming that fact.
9. Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Since it asks nothing of any visitor, there is nothing for a child to submit, and no information about children is knowingly held beyond the same server logs generated for every visitor.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy, or any request concerning your information:
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Were this site ever to begin collecting information, for example by adding a contact form, this policy would be updated before that change went live.
